Ugh, I know. But I wouldn't look to Elle or Vogue for interesting shoots, but for pretty pictures. But i-D usually has some more avant-garde photos.

the background is lovely, and the clothing against it really pops, but I find the model really uninspiring (especially when she's not in profile) and I think the idea could've been executed much more interestingly.

+ for some reason the 4th photograph REALLY irritates me because she's holding the sticks.

I don't get these.
It says on the first pic "for a refreshingly cool and polished look"..."sophisticated, slightly retro clothes" (and so on).
So my point is - why is it set in a damp, muddy forest?
I always think that settings should complement the look, and I just don't see how the setting fits here.
